Background

Through the power of direct messaging on Twitter between Dr. Janet Corral (starting on April 20, 2020 as Associate Dean, School of Medicine, University of Arizona – Tuscon) and Dr. Jerry Maniate (TOH, VP Education), a unique international education collaboration has formed to focus on improving patient care and the safety of frontline health care provider in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Building off our internationally recognized expertise with in-situ simulation led by Dr. Glenn Posner (Medical Director, TOH Simulation Patient Safety Program) and his team of committed simulation educators from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine and here at TOH, the TOH Education team is collaborating with Dr. Corral.  This initiative is funded by TOH Education to support innovative education during COVID-19, and through resources and staff from TOH Education and uOSSC.
