Dr. Emily Curley

PGY-2, Internal Medicine

1) What has helped you work through the COVID-19 pandemic?

What has helped me the most to work through the COVID-19 pandemic has been the support of my colleagues and my family. They have all been incredibly kind, compassionate and understanding.

2) What message would you give to your fellow physician colleagues on National Doctor’s Day?

Thank you for all that you do on a daily basis. Standing together with you in solidarity during this pandemic has been empowering and, together, we will make it through this.

3) What message of encouragement would you give to the public during this time?

This is a hard time for all of us. By staying home, you are standing with us in trying to protect our community and those working on the frontlines. Continue to stay home, stay safe, stay healthy, and stay positive.

4) Describe what work/life has been like for you over the last few weeks.

Working during the pandemic has been scary and stressful, but also incredibly humbling. It is humbling to feel non-immune to both the virus itself and the societal impact it has created. It is humbling to experience such solidarity and kindness amongst Canadians everywhere. Most importantly, it is humbling to have the privilege to care for patients and their families during this unpredictable time.
